DrMagnette, The Fabled Blade

Item Description

The Fabled Blade, an artifact of myth from the Backrooms, is a black long sword with strange inscriptions and unusual properties. A faint black smoke will rise from the blade when it touches a surface or is left untouched, emitting a soft simmering sound. The blade has been material tested by members of a now destroyed site on Level 12, which was left in ruin for no known reason. The site that conducted research of the blade has since been destroyed and only scattered details remain nearby. Abandoned site observations found indicate that the composition of the blade did not match any known alloys. It was instead suggested that the blade was in fact of extraterrestrial origin.

Another oddity regarding the blade is that the sword has a large orange gemstone located in the hilt's chamber. It emits great temperature, causing it to be hot to the touch. All who have touched it have noted experiencing great mental effects, and severe skin burns made when touching the sword. The sword's gemstone has never been removed despite multiple attempts to expunge it.

Use

The sword cannot be used, as anyone who tries to hold the hilt suffers severe burns. It is currently un-wieldable for humans and members of any tested faction in "The Backrooms Limspace." Strangely enough, However, entities such as smilers do not suffer these effects when contact is made with the blade.

Discovery

The discovery of this legendary blade is partially unknown, but recent data logs in Level 12 have suggested otherwise. The blade has been speculated to be the result of advanced civilization interference with the backrooms, due to this audio file found on an onsite computer, appearing to be from 2 explorers who uncovered the blade.

Unknown 1: " Hey, Matt. Come Check this out."

Unknown 2: " Yeah, what is it. I'm trekking through rubble collecting samples of molten materials."

Unknown 1: "Perfect, that's great. But you need to come see this, my god."

Unknown 2: "What's that there Chris? It seems to be some weird rock."

Unknown 1: "Wait a minute, it's a sword. It looks strange, I don't think we should be messing with this, y'know, until we notify the proper authority of course. What could this even be?"

Unknown 2: " There's a computer over here too, Chris. I can't read any of this text, it looks alien to me. Like some new kind of language?"

Unknown 1: "Matt, I feel funny. I have a strong compulsion to touch the blade, this might not be good."

Unknown 2: "Chris, don't touch anything. You don't know what this stuff even is. You know the Backrooms and how it can be sometimes, so leave it alone. Cut it out."

Unknown 1: "But, It's so beautiful. I need to grasp it's hilt. I need to touch the sword."

Unknown 2: "Chris, no, leave it alone.

Unknown Voice: "Save me, salvage me."

Unknown 1: Sword, must touch hilt of sword.

Large Explosion Sound

-Audio log cuts off after said sound of explosion-

Closing Regards

This recording seems to depict the death of these 2 explorers and the first discovery of the sword. The sword in this recording seems to show it has ulterior motives, as well as possible sentience. For your own safety, if you see a sword resembling this description on any level, do not attempt to interact with it or let alone wield it. Doing so can result in possible risk to health and safety.

Additional Footnotes:

If this sword exhibits body-snatching capabilities, please aim the muzzle of your gun at the roof of your mouth, and pull the trigger. What it will do to you is far worse than death itself.
