Description

Just beyond the endless mono-yellow insanity of The Halls lies a rotting stony and metallic expanse, simply known as "The Basement". It is an amalgamation of endless concrete hallways, vast metallic catwalks, and pneumatic machines. Describing this level as a basement is unfit. It is more of an industrial complex meant to transport energy

The Backrooms is a very peculiar limsystem, one that is quite difficult on how to describe the extent to its uniqueness. Unlike most limsystems, which seem to be staying the same size or even shrinking in some cases, The Backrooms is ever-expanding in size, and nobody really knows the true extent to which it encompasses. The archives only show a fraction of what we truly know about this limsystem as a whole.

In addition to its size, The Backrooms is also quite unusual in the way it's set up. Levels in the Backrooms almost follow a linear progression, from one to the next. Albeit, many exits do often defy this linear progression, following a more web-like complex. Still, if you were to assign a number to each individual level, you could easily travel from The Dark Mall all the way to the Starlit Cinema and Back while passing through most documented levels.
